Two Months Strong!

Hey Everyone who isn't deathly bored with my blog yet hehe! Colt and I have finally made 2 months of being married!! And guess what.. we aren't annoyed of each other just yet!! :) He wants to take me out to dinner some where tonight, we don't know where yet though. In other news, Colt starts his new job Monday which means after today he has one day left of traveling an hour and back so that's exciting!! As for me, I still have my job as a receptionist at Dollarcuts in Centerville. I like it still, it's hard when my paychecks come and go right to my car payment or gas and the rest to school... yuck! While we're on the subject of money and such lol, the only bad news as of right now is that Colt's car Alice that broke down two months ago in fact does need a new engine. Starting from the beginning for those of you who don't know, Colt's car "Alice" broke down the day of our wedding... of course haha. My brother had to pick him and the groomsmen of the side of the road and we had the car taken back to Colt's house (problem #1) then we went our honeymoon in my PT Cruiser "Louie" and tried forgetting about it for the week but when we got home, reality (of course) struck. Colt had to take his old car "Girty" to work and back every day, keep in mind this car is NOT in the best shape and it was driving an hour and back every day with TERRIBLE gas mileage .... gas hog....(problem #2) With Colt living down here in Farmington he never had time to go up and fix Alice (problem #3) then to add on to problems, Girty broke down about four times in the last two months.. so our solution to all these problems you ask? GET ALICE FIXED!!! This was interesting... how did we decide to get Alice all the way up here from Spanish Fork?.... yup... A tiny trailer and a HUGE truck that was stick (which I still need to learn how to drive) so my mom drove it up there with me and killed it like four times hehe! but after an hour or two, we FINALLY got Alice put on the tiny trailer and gave Girty back to his family for now to stay there. Colt had to (and still is for this week or two) drive Louie (my car) to work. So my mom drove Louie back home and Colt drove the truck up to Farmington, he was SOOOO scared the whole time but he did SUCH a good job. So we finally got Alice up here, Girty in Spanish, and Louie home in Farmington. Alice is at a mechanic shop right now, Girty is still in Spanish Fork but we hope to sell her for parts or something because.. Alice needs a whole new engine which in case you don't know, IT IS NOT CHEAP! So we need to find money ASAP... until we get Alice fixed, Colt takes Louie to work everyday, I drive my dad's car while he's gone, and my mom drives my grandma's old car she gave us. So after alllll that, are we happy to have Colt start his new job? FREAK YEAH!! lol I would love to say it's a problem and complain or whatever but you know, Colt and I are healthy, we have absolutely wonderful parents paying where they can and letting us stay in their house, we are still deeply in love, we have freedom of religion, and everything is going pretty well. We are just trying to get by everyday with a smile on our face and a deep prayer in our loving and trusting hearts!! Thanks to everyone who supports Colton and I everyday and pray for us and ask how we are doing! Love y'all and I'll post again when we hear more about life and new adventures for the love Birds! :)             -Savannah Bird
